Clindamycin

Why has my veterinarian prescribed this medication?

Your pet has been prescribed Antirobe (clindamycin), an antibiotic with a broad spectrum against aerobic gram positive, and anaerobic gram positive and gram negative bacteria, Clostridia species, and Mycoplasma species.

Adverse effects:

Antirobe is well tolerated. Side effects are usually seen with overdoses.

In dogs, vomiting, anorexia, and weight loss are reported. In cats, soft feces to diarrhea, vomiting, and lymphocytic inflammation of the gall bladder are reported.

Always follow the label instructions. Never administer any medication unless prescribed by a veterinarian. Keep out of reach of children.

Storage and handling:
Store between 15 and 30°C.
